Serra International

Since my college years, my favorite line in the Gospels has been when Christ has looked upon men and had "compassion" on them.

We need pastors who will do that today.  Lay as well as religious leaders.

From Mark 6:34...  "He saw a great crowd and He had compassion for them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd."

In 1935, a group of faithful in Seattle decided to form an organization to promote and foster vocations to the priesthood and religious life.   They chose Fr. Junipero Serra as their patron.

Today, Serra has grown internationally.  Get involved.  Support them.

Pope John Paul II designated the Serra organization as the lay vocations arm of the Church.

Serrans are lay Catholics - men and women of all ages and walks of life.
