Toronto: Galero Rosso of the Lord Reverend Cardinal of the Archdioecesis Torontensis

Bring back the galero - a nice and harmless tradition done away with, like so many other nice extras, in a fit of 1960s modernization.

Thanks for highlighting Toronto's Cathedral Basilica. This year is the 170th anniv of the diocese of Toronto being erected. I led a group of Canadian pilgrims to Rome this summer -- from the Toronto Archdiocese. It was a parish pilgrimage to mark the 170th anniversary. It was a great experience.
The galero belonged to Cardinal MacGuigan (d 1970)
